Thanksgiving Weekend
We had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend. There was so much going on it is hard to blog everything so I have posted plenty of pictures to show. We had lots of friends and family come for Thanksgiving weekend. My sister Stacey and Her family, my parents, My sister Whitnie and her family and our good friends Joe & Shalyn Nelson and thier family. We had a great time.
Musicians in the making.

Whitnie and I decorating a wedding cake for one of Whitnie's friends.
While we decorated the cakes the kids made sugar cookies and decorated them. It was a big mess but the end result was pretty tasty.

Shelly and I found a fun hat shop while we were visiting the Oregon Coast. She looked alot better in the hats than I did. So I made her pose.
While we were at the coast we found a great candy shop in seaside. The kids loved being able to pick out thier favorite candy. Ok maybe I did too!!!!!

What men do at Walmart for fun!
Sorry I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks. Truth be told I just have not done anything Blog worthy in a while. I know I need to spice up my life a bit. But my friend sent me the following email and I just thought it was hilarious. Keith don't get any ideas!
Dear Mrs. Jones:
Over the past six months, your husband, Mr. Jones has been causing quite a commotion in ourstore. We cannot tolerate this type of behavior and have considered banning the entire familyfrom shopping in any of our stores. We have documented all incidents on our video surveillance equipment. Three of our clerks areattending counseling from the trouble your husband has caused. All complaints against Mr.Jones have been compiled and are listed below.

Trip to Boise
Sorry I am a little behind on my blogging. Last weekend I drove to Boise Idaho to visit my parents and my grandma. Here are a few pictures of my trip. I kept forgetting to take pictures so I don't have too many.
My Parents took me to this restaurant called Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine. The food was actually pretty good. But they had the place decorated like a trailer park it was pretty funny. Below are a few pictures.

My mom took me to lunch at Ms Tammi's tea house. I have never been to tea a tea house before. Of course we got Herbal tea, but it was a lot of fun.

Cake Drama
My Friend asked me if I would make a Birthday cake for her 14 year old daughter. I have not made a cake in a while and need the practice, so I agreed to do it. Well of course after I agreed to do the cake, she came back and told me she wanted a 2 layer cake. Which is of course twice the work and stress not to mention hard to do when you work full time. It requires you to bake 4 cakes and 4 or 5 batches of Icing. But I planned out my week carefully planning to spend an hour or so a night for 4 nights until the cake was all finished. So on night one I decided to bake all of the cakes. I stayed up until 10PM (I know I am a Wuss its not that late), I wrapped the completed cakes up and stored them away and decided to leave the last 2 cakes to cool on the counter over night. Well I came downstairs in the morning and discovered that Brody had decided he wanted Chocolate cake for breakfast instead of his normal food. He had taken a huge bite out of one of the cakes and was hiding in the corner because he knew I was going to get mad at him (Apparently the perks out weighed the consequences). But lucky for Brody I was able to bake another cake and get it decorated in time for the party. I guess it was a good thing I was organized this time, instead of my normal approach of chaos. Above are some pictures of the completed cake.

Starving Children in Africa
Sorry I have not blogged in a while I have been suffering from lack of motivation. I bet you are wondering why I titled this blog Starving Children in Africa. In the last 2 weeks I have had to throw out at least a months worth of meat and food. The story begins about 2 weeks ago. We bought a new TV stand for our TV. So while Keith was putting it together he decided that instead of hammering all of the nails by hand he would pull out his nail gun and get the job done in half the time. But he could not find an extention cord long enough so he decided that he would unplug the extention cord we are currently using on our Freezer in the garage. Fully intending to plug the freezer back in once he was done with the nail gun. Well we got side tracted and 2 days later noticed that the garage was starting to smell. We had to throw everything away. Then on Sunday we came home from church and noticed that the house smelled funny. Like something was burning. We could not figure out where the smell was coming from we checked everything. Monday night we decided to go grocery shopping and stock up on some of the meat we had to throw away. We get home and start putting groceries away and noticed that there was water on the floor underneath the frige/freezer. Apparently our Refrigerater (that is not even 5 years old) decided to quit working. A circut shorted out. $250 later our Refrigerator is now working again, but we had to throw everything away that was in our inside freezer and refrigerater. So now I feel bad there are all of these starving children in Africa and I am throwing food out left and right. Not to mention my grocery bill for the month doubled. Go Figure!!!!
